Emma Elizabeth Designs

I first met designer Emma Elizabeth two years ago when she styled a series of publicity shots for me. I was amazed to learn that she was only 23 at the time as her talent was far beyond her years. EE has worked with Dom Perignon, Harper's Bazaar, Moet & Chandon and Rosemount Australian Fashion Week to name just a few. She was also named one of the top five finalists for the Harper's Bazaar Peroni Young Designers Award in 2009 and also selected as one of the top 10 object/industrial designers by Marc Newson for SOYA in 2008 and 2009.

Emma Elizabeth Designs 'sliZed' collection

Her latest 'sliZed' furniture collection featured in the Milan Design Furniture Fair in 2010. The installation was part of the Hidden Heroes Exhibition with Emma Elizabeth being the only Australia among the 30 international designers showcasing their work - amazing, huh?!

I heart Jenna Lyons...

jenna-lyons, originally uploaded by siyg.
Ever since I stumbled on an article in Domino magazine featuring J Crew Creative Director Jenna Lyons back in 2008, I have been obsessed with this woman. Not only does she have the most amazing sense of style, she also has what I consider to be the most enviable job in the world. Imagine day in day out making creative decisions that shape a brand - something that is so innate to her that she doesn't consider it a job, rather an extension of who she is.

So I would like to claim that my admiration for this woman dates back prior to her recent appearance on Oprah - when all the rest of the world jumped on the Jenna bandwagon. View the clip here. How about that closet!!! And those sequin pants... I wanna get me some of those!!
