Shhh... don't tell anyone

Ok, so as Sydneysiders, our biggest gripe is that we don't have access to all those lovely little Melbourne lane ways full of cosy wine bars. But wait a second... we do, you just have to find them! Last November, Tourism Victoria launched a brilliant marketing campaign where they poshed up a decaying old building and transformed it into a pop up replica of one of their classy establishments to showcase the King's Valley Wine region. The bar was located in a secret venue where those brave enough regisered to attend and only found out the address on the day of the event. I was fortunate enough to be privvy to this little secret as I assisted designer Emma Elizabeth (see prior post) to style this unique pop up venue in King's Vault. Check out these shots I took before the word spread!

Emma Elizabeth Designs

I first met designer Emma Elizabeth two years ago when she styled a series of publicity shots for me. I was amazed to learn that she was only 23 at the time as her talent was far beyond her years. EE has worked with Dom Perignon, Harper's Bazaar, Moet & Chandon and Rosemount Australian Fashion Week to name just a few. She was also named one of the top five finalists for the Harper's Bazaar Peroni Young Designers Award in 2009 and also selected as one of the top 10 object/industrial designers by Marc Newson for SOYA in 2008 and 2009.

Emma Elizabeth Designs 'sliZed' collection

Her latest 'sliZed' furniture collection featured in the Milan Design Furniture Fair in 2010. The installation was part of the Hidden Heroes Exhibition with Emma Elizabeth being the only Australia among the 30 international designers showcasing their work - amazing, huh?!
